We are stoked to be sharing our November 8th album launch at Smith’s Alternative with the fabulous Mr Laughton Band, all the way from Maffra (Victoria)! Band leader, singer and songwriter, Gerry Laughton, is an Arrernte/Luritja man, born and bred in Mparntwe (Alice Springs). Gerry had a love of music from an early age, being the son of country legend Herbert Laughton, and has played in numerous bands including Amunda, Gerry’s Fifth Soul, Waahkala, and Rotisserie. He will be performing songs from his recent rock/soul oriented CD – Reflections of me – recorded at Warrior Studio in Bruthen and will be joined on stage by respected Gippsland drummer Mick Beckers and bassist “Buzzy” Hewat. Gerry’s CDs will be available for sale at the gig.
